The 陆军预备役 Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) was born when President Woodrow Wilson signed the National Defense Act of 1916. 自成立以来, Army ROTC has provided leadership and military training at schools and universities across the country and has commissioned more than a half million Officers. It is the largest commissioning source in the American military.

Army ROTC is a diverse group of men and women with more than 20,000 Cadets currently enrolled. Women have been an integral part of Army ROTC since the first group of women were commissioned in 1976. Today, women constitute 20 percent of the Cadets.

Offered at more than 1,000 colleges and universities, you can get the college experience along with a guaranteed career after graduation as a highly respected second lieutenant in the Army, 陆军预备役, or Army National Guard.

军队参加后备役军官训练军团 is the largest officer-producing organization with the American military, 有超过600人,000 men and women have earned a commission through the program. Among them are two chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of 工作人员, seven Army chiefs of staff, two Cabinet secretaries and a sitting Supreme Court associate justice. Few other military commissioning sources can claim such significant lineage.
